Green Beans ‘n Potatoes with Bacon
1. Cook the Onion and Potato:
o In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
o Add the thinly sliced sweet onion and diced red potato to the skillet.
o Sprinkle with the coarse ground black pepper.
o Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are soft and the potatoes are tender and lightly browned, about 10-12 minutes.
2. Add the Bacon and Garlic:
o Add the thinly sliced bacon and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
o Cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the garlic is fragrant and the bacon is heated through.
3. Combine with Green Beans:
o Sprinkle the dry Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing or Dips Mix over the mixture.
o Add the drained green beans to the skillet and stir to combine all the ingredients.
o Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until everything is heated through and well mixed.
4. Season and Serve:
o Taste the mixture and add more pepper if desired. Add salt only if necessary, as the bacon and ranch mix may already provide enough seasoning.
o Serve the Green Beans ‘n Potatoes with Bacon hot as a side dish.
