Cherry Chocolate Chip Poke Cake
Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the cake mix box. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package directions. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake as directed.
Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the surface of the cake.
Pour the cherry pie filling over the cake, making sure it seeps into the holes. Spread it out evenly with a spatula.
Spread the whipped topping over the cherry layer, covering the entire cake.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the whipped topping.
Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top.
Garnish with fresh cherries and additional chocolate chips if desired.
