Smothered Meatballs

1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
2. Form the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until all sides are browned, about 10 minutes. Remove meatballs from the skillet.
4. In the same skillet, add sliced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until onion is soft and translucent.
5. Sprinkle flour over the onion and garlic, stirring until the flour is fully absorbed.
6. Gradually whisk in beef broth, ensuring no lumps form. Bring the mixture to a simmer, and let it thicken into a gravy.
7. Return the meatballs to the skillet, coating them in the gravy. Cover and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
