Gochujang Spiced Ice Cream


- In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and half of the sugar (1/2 cup). Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is hot and just begins to steam (do not boil).

- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and the remaining sugar (1/4 cup) until pale and slightly thickened.
