Mole Cake from the Tray Recipe
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan oven).
- Grease a baking tray (39 x 26 x 4 cm).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the sunflower oil, eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar until well combined.
**Step 2:**
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking powder, and cocoa powder.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the egg mixture, alternating with the milk, until smooth.
**Step 3:**
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking tray, smoothing it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
**Step 4:**
- Once cooled, hollow out the cake with a spoon to a depth of about 1 cm, leaving a border around the edges.
- Crumble the scooped-out cake into a bowl and set aside for later.
