- Prepare the Filling:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Add the Coffee:
- Stir the cooled coffee and coffee liqueur (if using) into the mascarpone mixture until well blended.
- Crush the Ladyfingers:
- Place the ladyfinger cookies in a food processor and pulse until finely crushed. You can also place them in a zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
- Form the Balls:
- Take a small spoonful of the mascarpone mixture and roll it into a ball. Roll the ball in the crushed ladyfingers until evenly coated. Place the ball on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
- Chill:
- Once all the tiramisu bites are formed, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to chill and set.
- Dust with Cocoa Powder:
- Just before serving, dust the tiramisu bites with unsweetened cocoa powder for a classic tiramisu finish.
